2020 marked the 30th anniversary of the Romulo Larrea Ensemble. Its founder is the Uruguayan bandoneon player, Romulo Larrea, described by the press as the one by whom the Tango took roots in Montreal. More than 40 years of artistic activity have passed since his beginnings in Montreal with the first Canadian tango group, Tango x 4. The creation and presentation of a variety of repertoires are the engine of this cultural organization and are made possible thanks to the vibrant talent of our artists and creators. The Ensemble's concerts and shows have always been inspired by traditional tango as well as by contemporary tango and integrate the disciplines of dance and singing that have always accompanied the musical genre. Our goal is to continue reaching a broad, enthusiastic and curious audience. Thank you for following us.
